The only major book on Australian postcards is
"Picture Postcards in Australia 1898-1920" by David Cook, publ. by Pioneer Design Studio, Victoria, 1986 (now out of print). This is an invaluable and thoroughly researched work which is essential to anyone collecting postcards published in Australia.

"Early Australian Postcards" published by View Publications is a smaller 54pp. introduction to the subject of Australian postcards.

Three useful catalogues have been published but no new editions have appeared in over 20 years.

One of the best periodicals on postcard collecting is Picture Postcard Monthly published in Nottingham, England by Brian and Mary Lund. Aside from the journals of the individual state collector's societies there is no regular publication dealing with card collecting in Australia.
